Three marathon days of testing and practice concluded Friday at Pocono Raceway, with Joey Logano showing the way in the final 90-minute Happy Hour session.

Logano lapped the freshly repaved 2.5-mile Pocono track at 179.501 miles per hour, 7 mph above the track record set by Kasey Kahne eight years ago. “I think we’ve got a pretty good car that can win this thing,” said Logano, who is the final year of his contract with Joe Gibbs Racing.

Defending race winner Jeff Gordon was third at 179.108 mph in his No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevy, followed by Paul Menard, who had a best lap of 178.798 mph in his No. 27 Richard Childress Racing Chevy.

Kyle Busch was right behind Menard at 178.540 mph in the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.

The second five was led by Kasey Kahne, then NASCAR Sprint Cup points leader Greg Biffle, Brad Keselowski, AJ Allmendinger and Marcos Ambrose and Landon Cassill .

NASCAR Sprint Cup qualifying begins at 11 a.m. (ET) tomorrow and will be televised on SPEED.

Coming into the Pocono 400, Biffle leads his Roush Fenway Racing teammate by 1 point and Dale Earnhardt Jr. by 10 points after 13 races.
