CUP: Patrick Will Start At The Back

Danica Patrick's crew opted to change the engine on the No. 10 Go Daddy Chevrolet after the first Sprint Cup Series practice at Kansas Speedway on Friday afternoon.

Her best time of the 30 laps she ran during practice was 43rd fastest on the speed chart, 29.153 seconds (185.230 mph). By comparison, Greg Biffle posted the top time in the session, 28.226-seconds (191.313 mph).

Patrick, 30, will participate in time trials for her eighth career Sprint Cup race today. However, despite where she qualifies, Patrick will start for Sunday's Hollywood Casino 400.

Patrick, who is currently 10th in the Nationwide Series point standings, will both qualify and race in that tour on Saturday.
