The Food City 500 Sprint Cup race is underway at Bristol Motor Speedway, and already there’s news.

For the first time in 56 races, a Sprint Cup event at BMS, one of the most popular tracks in NASCAR, is not a sellout.

The facility, which seats 160,000 and typically is packed, had tens of thousands of empty seats at the beginning of Sunday’s race.
