In NASCAR, you never say never, for as soon as you predict that something can’t happen it will occur on the very next race weekend.

It’s a sport in which you don’t tempt the gods by betting against that which clearly can’t happen.

But most people probably are a bit surprised to see this quote in this week’s buildup to Sunday’s Shelby American Sprint Cup race in Las Vegas:

“We had a good run in Fontana, and I am itching to get the No. 36 Kim Kardashian Fragrance Chevy out on the track this weekend.”

That’s courtesy of Mike Bliss, who will be driving said fragrance-enhanced vehicle this weekend. It’s possible that was a little harder to get out for Bliss than, say, “I’m ready to get the Home Depot Chevy out on the track.”

The pink – yes, pink – race car will have an image of Kim – of course, she’s one of the television Kardashians – on the hood, and she is scheduled to be in Las Vegas promoting her new line of perfume.

There has been no indication about the Mike Bliss Fragance of the week, but we’re hoping for something more along the lines of Old Spice.
