There are 46 entries for the Price Chopper 400 on Sunday at Kansas Speedway.

In addition to the 44 full-time teams, Wood Brothers Racing and Gunselman Motorsports, which have run select events this year, are on the entry list provided by NASCAR.

Elliott, the 1988 Cup champion, is one of 10 drivers vying for the seven open spots in a 43-car field that includes 35 guaranteed starters based on the current owner points plus one past champion’s provisional. Bobby Labonte (Phoenix Racing), the series’ 2000 champion, will have first crack at a past champion’s provisional if he fails to qualify on speed and is therefore guaranteed a spot in the race. Next in line for the provisional would be Elliott.

Others who must qualify on speed are Front Row Motorsports’ Dave Blaney, Latitude 43 Motorsports’ Patrick Carpentier, Tommy Baldwin Racing’s J.J. Yeley, Germain Racing’s Casey Mears, Nemco Motorsports’ Joe Nemechek, Whitney Motorsports’ Michael McDowell, Prism Motorsports Mike Bliss and Jason Leffler and the driver of the No. 64 Gunselman car (which is TBA).

Reed Sorenson is entered as the driver for Red Bull Racing’s No. 83 entry. Sorenson has made 10 of 17 starts with the team since taking over after Brian Vickers was sidelined with blood clots.

TRG Motorsports does not have a driver listed for its No. 71 entry.
