SPEED Puts Exclamation Point On July with ‘Warriors Weekend’ Special Programming Lineup

GRASSROOTS RACING SPECIAL - FOR THE LOVE OF RACING - TAPS INTO PURE PASSION

BEHIND WORKING ALL WEEK TO RACE ON THE WEEKENDS

EXPANDED COVERAGE OF NASCAR CRAFTSMAN TRUCK SERIES

ARCA RE/MAX SERIES SHINES SPOTLIGHT ON COMPETITION

As summer racing heats up across the United States, SPEED is designating July 18-19 as "Warriors Weekend," expanding its coverage of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and ARCA RE/MAX Series and premiering a series of specials highlighted by a nod to American grassroots motor sports with For the Love of Racing on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET.

"There's a real passion for grassroots racing in every corner of this country," said SPEED President Hunter Nickell. "There is something uniquely cool and hardcore about the men and women who work long hours all week just to hang out and bang fenders on the weekend ... and not matter how far you rise on the ladder of racing success, it still comes down to who has what it takes to get their car to the finish line first."

SPEED will open the special weekend with back-to-back episodes of Racing Across America featuring NASCAR Camping World Series races from New Hampshire and Irwindale beginning Friday at Noon ET.

Expanded coverage of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Kentucky will include live coverage of practice (July 18, 6:30 p.m. ET), qualifying (July 19, 3:30 p.m. ET), a special mid-season review (July 19, 3 p.m. ET), an expanded version of the popular pre-race show NCTS Setup with Krista Voda (July 19, 6 p.m. ET) and live, exclusive coverage of the Truck Series race, beginning at 7 p.m. ET from Kentucky Speedway.

"For those of us who cover the series each week, and the fans who thrive on it, this is literally Christmas in July," Voda said. "Our
drivers have the most electric personalities and every one of them has a story to tell. The expanded coverage will give new fans a chance to meet the most colorful characters in NASCAR, while rewarding the men and women who tune in each week."

ARCA RE/MAX programming from Kentucky begins July 18 with live qualifying at 4:30 p.m. ET and race coverage at 8 p.m. ET.

"ARCA is pleased to play a role in SPEED's expanded coverage of the July 18-19 Kentucky Speedway race weekend as we have truly embraced the concept of grassroots racing during our 50 plus years in motor sports," said Mark Gundrum, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for ARCA. "We realize that SPEED's expanded coverage of the Kentucky event weekend will provide added value to our race teams and give fans a glimpse into ARCA RE/MAX Series qualifying."

The weekend will also feature coverage of World of Outlaw racing from Eldora (July 19, 1 p.m. ET), a replay of Tony Stewart's Prelude to the Dream (July 18, 10 p.m. ET) and a new episode of NASCAR Confidential with unprecedented access to NASCAR race control (July 20, 8 p.m. ET).
